Nancy Nicoson, 93. of Terre Haute passed away December 22, 2011 in Union Hospital.  She was born on September 28, 1918 in Vigo County.  Her parents were Stanley and Hilda (Stumpfle) Parker.  She was a 1936 graduate of Wiley High School and received her B.A. in home economics from Indiana State Teachers College in 1940.  At that same time she was a member of Gamma Gamma which later became Delta Gamma Sorority.  She and her husband owned and operated the Nicoson Sunoco that was located at Fruitridge and Wabash Avenues.  For several years she served on the Terre Haute City Panhellenic Council.  On May 18, 1941 she married Max Nicoson and he preceded her in death in 1993.  Her survivors include a daughter, Lynn Nicoson, a brother-in-law Warren Eugene Nicoson and his wife Juanita, a sister-in-law Beverly June Shaw, and numerous nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 in Callahan-DeBaun Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash, at 11 a.m.  Calling will be from 9 a.m. until service time.  Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery.  For those who choose memorial contributions can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
